What the product caspules are made of?Updated 2 months ago

At AVEA, every detail matters — from the formulation of our longevity supplements to the materials that encapsulate them. We carefully select capsule types that ensure purity, efficacy, and stability, while meeting the highest safety and quality standards.

For most AVEA products, we use HPMC (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose) capsules. These plant-based capsules, made from wood pulp, provide a clean and vegan-friendly alternative to traditional gelatin. They are odourless, tasteless, and ensure optimal protection and consistency for our scientifically formulated ingredients. Good to know: HPMC functions as water-soluble fiber in our gut.

Importantly, based on the official documentation provided by our capsule supplier in Switzerland, ethylene oxide (ETO) is not used at any stage of the manufacturing process of the HPMC capsules. Furthermore, the finished hard capsule products fully comply with the ETO requirements as per Commission Regulation (EU) No 2022/1396.

Our Booster, however, is encapsulated in bovine gelatin. This decision was made exclusively for stability reasons — the Booster’s complex combination of active compounds requires a capsule material that guarantees product integrity and long-term performance, which no vegan alternative could meet. Currently, we are testing several vegan and vegetarian alternatives.
