Why do you recommend a daily dosage of 250 mg and not more?Updated 8 months ago
We consider our NMN to be effective and safe based on scientific findings. We recommend 250 mg as a capsule, as this dose and administration has already been shown in clinical studies to have positive effects on muscle mass, cardiovascular function, insulin sensitivity, mitochondrial function, etc. (1) (2) (3)
Even a clinical trial shows that a dosage of 150 mg of powdered NMN is enough to the rise the levels of NAD+/NADH in the cells, which is linked to higher energy levels and an anti-aging effect. (4)
This means that this dose has been shown to be effective and to have a health-promoting effect. Of course, up to 500 mg (between 30 and 60 years) and 750 mg (for a 90 kg man over 60) are possible without any problems. (5) (6)
The current clinical trial by Lin et al. from this September 2022 shows that a dose between 300 and 600 mg has the greatest effects on people who had not taken NMN before (NAD levels, biological age, fitness). Within the first two months, it made no significant difference whether one took 600 mg or 900 mg. (7)
