Why does it contain gluten?Updated 8 months ago

The spermidine in our Cell Primer is derived from a natural wheat extract, and as a result, the product contains (very little) gluten and is not suitable for individuals with a gluten allergy.

However, the question is: do you have a gluten intolerance / coeliac disease? The recommendation is to consume a maximum of 20 mg gluten per day (< 20ppm).

Or do you simply want to consume less gluten?

The extract does contain traces of gluten, but in the nanogram range and therefore almost negligible for people who do not have a gluten-related illness. According to the manufacturer, the wheat germ extract contains traces of gluten (>80ppm). This corresponds to approx. 0.024mg per capsule. This is not physiologically relevant.
