Why is there stevia as a natural sweetener in my Collagen Activator?Updated 8 months ago
We know that there is a lot of scepticism about sweeteners. Also here, we base our actions on scientific facts.
We're using only 18 mg of stevia glycoside, which is a natural extract from stevia leaves. We also had to consider product stability, digestibility and taste acceptance in the formulation without adding supplementary calories through sugar.
For us, stevia is the only choice because, according to our scientific opinion and research, stevia is safe for our customers. In recent studies, it has been shown to have benefits in terms of liver tolerance, blood sugar management and cardio-vascular health. There is also evidence that it even has anti-inflammatory effects. In contrast to a very popular meaning, there is currently no scientific evidence that stevia is harming gut health - there are even some findings about benefits for the gut microbiome.
Considering these facts, stevia was and is a good and safe choice for our customers.
